Claimar Care Group was started as a small family business in 1990 and grew to be one of the UK's largest providers of Domiciliary care, employing over 4,500 people with a turnover of £75m per annum.
Over a period of 4 years, Claimar completed 35 acquisitions, from generic domiciliary care providers to franchise businesses, complex care, specialist brain and spinal cord injury providers, and pharmacy delivery businesses. The business grew to over 114 branches spread throughout the UK and Scotland.
Claimar Care Group PLC was sold to Housing21 in 2009 for an enterprise value of £40m.
